Innovation and collaboration takes the center stage at this years Vitalis

With more than 700 speakers and 400 sessions, Vitalis attracted over 6000 participants, asserting its position as the largest eHealth event in Scandinavia.

“This underscores the importance of the event as more individuals recognize the need to fully capitalize on the advantages of digitalization,” states Maria Sterner, Business Manager at Vitalis.

Over four intensive days, the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Center in Gothenburg becomes a thriving community united by a common goal: to collaboratively shape the future of care and welfare.

“To tackle the challenges we face, both engagement and expertise at all decision-making levels are necessary,” Sterner emphasizes. “That’s precisely why Vitalis is indispensable.”

“Both the Fair and Conference Are More Crucial Than Ever”

This year, Vitalis prominently featured resilience —evaluating Sweden’s readiness for potential crises—starting from Health Minister Acko Ankarberg Johansson’s opening speech to various lectures and discussions throughout the venue.

“Topics that were once less urgent are now critical. We’ve had numerous sessions specifically focusing on resilience and security: How is healthcare gearing up to face various crises?”

The drive for collective transformation is also a key aspect of Vitalis.

“Vitalis serves as a major convening space where all stakeholders involved in shaping the future of care and welfare come together. This collaborative effort is arguably Vitalis’s most vital role.”

This year’s event boasted over 700 speakers and 400 program items across up to 18 parallel tracks, with 180 hours subsequently available digitally.

“We offer a diverse array of program items designed for various audiences, providing a rich reservoir of knowledge,” Sterner notes.

Vitalis Innovation Area – A New Hub for Exchange

Introduced this year, the Vitalis Innovation Area is a focal point for innovation and entrepreneurship, attracting innovators, investors, and those eager to explore the latest developments.

“The Vitalis Innovation Area will continue to expand as there is a marked need for such collaborative spaces to propel development and innovation,” Sterner explains.

Commitment and Expertise Required

With regions and municipalities currently under financial pressure, the need for transformative action is more urgent and relevant.

“It’s particularly heartening to see our visitor numbers not only hold steady but increase compared to last year. Vitalis plays a crucial role in advancing discussions on the future of care and welfare,” Sterner comments.
