The Conference Vetting System (CVS) is an initiative within the healthcare industry. It is a centralized decision-making system designed to promote transparency and consistency in medical education events, while reducing the administrative burden for members of MedTech Europe and Mecomed, who previously had to assess individually whether participation in such events complied with their respective codes.

CVS is independently managed and evaluates third-party educational events for compliance with the MedTech Europe Code of Ethical Business Practice and the Mecomed Code of Business Practice. Its purpose is to determine whether it is appropriate for member companies to provide financial support to these events, whether through educational grants or commercial activities such as exhibition booths, advertising, or satellite symposia.

Members of MedTech Europe and Mecomed may not support an event unless it has been reviewed and approved by CVS in advance. Furthermore, decisions made by the Compliance Officer are binding, meaning that members are not permitted to support events that do not meet the required standards.
