Geras Solutions wins Healthtech Award and attracts interest beyond healthcare

A visibly surprised Simon Körösi, CEO of Geras Solutions, received the Healthtech Award at Vitalis 2025 in recognition of the company’s work to improve dementia diagnostics and care. Since then, the company has continued to build on its success, attracting attention not only from healthcare but also from entirely unexpected industries.

Geras Solutions’ innovative digital solution for the early detection of dementia has gained widespread attention. In May 2025, the company was honoured with the Healthtech Award by the Vitalis jury.

Looking back on the award ceremony, Simon Körösi recalls the moment vividly.

– It came as a complete surprise and felt like a powerful confirmation that what we are doing truly matters and is highly relevant.

For the entire organisation, the award served as a strong endorsement that the company is addressing the right challenges at the right time.

– Cognitive health and dementia are often overlooked. Receiving this award shone a spotlight on the issue and gave us energy, credibility and greater confidence, both internally and externally.

In the weeks following the award, Geras Solutions saw a rapid increase in new conversations with regions and municipalities, as well as inquiries from sectors far beyond traditional healthcare.

– The award really acted as a catalyst for discussions that might otherwise never have happened. Moving from dialogue to collaboration often takes time, especially when working with regions and municipalities where many decision makers are involved, but we have several exciting projects underway.

To illustrate how customer meetings can unfold, Körösi shares an anecdote from a presentation to a private clinic.

– The operations manager and the physician were hesitant and wanted to discuss things further, but the CEO stood up, applauded and said: This is what we have been waiting for. Our biggest challenge is helping all levels understand why this field needs to be made more efficient.

The attention surrounding the award has also opened doors in unexpected contexts. Geras Solutions is now preparing collaborations with the automotive industry, with several pilot projects planned in the near future.

– It is an industry we would never have considered approaching on our own.

Over the past year, Geras Solutions has continued to develop its offering, with a strong focus on both assessment and prevention. A new international study is currently underway in collaboration with European universities and research institutions. In the study, Geras Solutions’ algorithm is combined with other types of biomarkers, including eye tracking and vocal markers.

– Using AI analysis, we aim to identify disease specific patterns at an early stage. Our ambition is to detect cognitive decline even earlier, enable better testing from home and ultimately help reduce the number of people who develop dementia.

Why apply for the Healthtech Award?

– For us, even becoming finalists was unexpected, but the process itself is incredibly valuable. It is a great exercise in presenting yourself and clearly defining the problem you are trying to solve and the value you bring. Apply.
